Title: "Notes on Musical Dramaturgy in Chopin's Second Piano Sonata"
The analytic sketch presents an experience in outlining the "plot of musical dramaturgy" in the
1st movement of Chopin's Piano Sonata in B flat minor. Combined methodology comprising
traditional foreground study, elements of Schenkerian and semiotic approaches serves to
discover dramatic activity of main "personage" in musical process generating a broad associative
field of signification, i.e. "content" as extra musical allusion.
